Cowdenbeath's clash with Berwick Rangers was postponed despite a satisfactory pitch inspection.
Although the Shielfield pitch passed a 10.30am examination, concerns for the safety of travelling fans led to the decision.
The Berwick area had avoided the worst of the wintry weather, and the referee was content with the pitch condition.
However, snow squalls on roads south of Fife were deemed hazardous for supporters.
David Allan, Cowdenbeath club secretary felt that the right decision was made due to the circumstances for supporters.
The Lowland League match will be rescheduled.
