Saturday's wintry weather caused the first full cancellation of East of Scotland League matches this season.
This affected games involving Dundonald Bluebell, Crossgates Primrose, Lochore Welfare, and Lochgelly Albert.
Hill of Beath Hawthorn also saw their match called off due to Greenock or Newmains being unable to complete their South Challenge Cup fourth round tie.
The cold conditions from earlier in the week made play impossible.
The local teams have been in fine form, making the cancellations particularly disappointing.
Hill of Beath, apart from the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup, have been on an impressive winning streak across all competitions.
The Haws have won nine of their 12 East of Scotland Premier League games and sit second in the league.
They have 29 points from 12 games, five behind leaders Musselburgh Athletic, with two games in hand.
Robbie Raeside, Hill of Beath manager, said: "The players have been magnificent pulling off some fantastic wins in league and cup action and playing some really good football.
"To be second top of the Premier League at this stage, just over a third of the way through the campaign is very encouraging, but we know that there is a long way to go and we need to seek to maintain our performance levels."
The other four local sides have had mixed results this season but still occupy respectable positions in their respective leagues.
Dundonald Bluebell, initially struggling due to a shortage of fit players, now have a mostly full squad.
They have won five of their Premier League games and are in ninth place with 18 points.
Crossgates Primrose and Lochore Welfare, both in the First Division, have faced injury issues.
This has resulted in them fielding weakened sides and losing what they felt were winnable matches.
Primrose, who were in a strong position in September and October, have since dropped to fourth in the table after a draw and a couple of defeats.
However, they are still in the promotion race.
Lochore had a tough start to the season, but some good signings by manager James Adam have seen them move to 14th spot in the table, three points short of the safety zone.
Last weekend, Lochore and Crossgates played a thrilling King Cup tie, with Lochore winning 7-6 on penalties.
Lochgelly Albert, in the East of Scotland Third Division, have made a great start to the 2024-25 season.
They are top of the table with ten wins in 13 starts and are 12 points clear in the top three promotion zone.
With a solid youth structure, they look likely to gain promotion to the Second Division come May.
The matches set for this Saturday include Haddington Athletic v Dundonald Bluebell at 2.30pm and Hill of Beath Hawthorn v Dunbar United at 2.30pm in the East of Scotland Premier League.
In the East of Scotland First Division, Heriot Watt University will face Lochore Welfare at 3pm, while in the East of Scotland Third Division, Lochgelly Albert will play against Edinburgh Community at 2pm.
