COWDENBEATH'S brave performance at Ainslie Park against The Spartans on Saturday has earned them a Scottish Cup third round tie at home to Brechin City.
The match against the Highland League leaders, and fellow former SPFL side, is scheduled for Saturday November 30 and will hold special significance for the Blue Brazil's backroom team.
Boss Dougie Hill, and coaches Paul McLean and Gary Fusco, all had lengthy spells at Glebe Park but, before they meet their former club, they are seeking a repeat of Cowden's display in the capital.

Celtic 'B' come calling to Central Park on Saturday, before a trip to Dumbarton on Tuesday night to play Broomhill, as the Blues look to climb up the Lowland League table.
Hill's men are 15th, just three places and as many points above bottom side, Gala Fairydean Rovers, who, in turn, are only one place and one point behind Broomhill.
He described Celtic's 'B' side as a "very talented group of young players", who sit fourth, but is looking for his team to continue the form they showed at Spartans.
"I felt having a squad with only Ewan MacPherson and Aiden McLaughlin missing gave us the chance to produce the sort of performance I know we are capable of, and the lads responded excellently," Hill told Times Sport.
"We defended well as a team, attacked positively, and worked really hard to win a place in round three of the Scottish Cup.
"We had to defend really well at times and, when they did get through, Ruaridh Lynch produced some fine saves.
"It opens the door to a game with Brechin City, who have won the Highland League regularly since they were demoted a few years back, so while it will be a tough tie, it is one we can win.

It will also be a chance to see a lot of people that Paul McLean, Gary Fusco and myself worked with over a lot of years.
"We have a lot of work to do in the league before that though, and if we can produce the same performance as we did at Ainslie Park, we can pose issues for Celtic 'B'.
"They are a very talented group of young players, but if we defend as solidly as we did against Spartans, we can build a base from which we can win the game for, with Robbie McNab and Danny Swanson available again in midfield, and with our attackers fit again, we can compete well with a team which is sitting in fourth top spot in the table.
"If we can put together a run of a few wins, we can get into the top half of the table, and that has to be our aim."
McLaughlin is not far away from being ready to return to action for Cowden, while Ewan MacPherson is likely to have an operation on his injury next month, and could be back in contention in the New Year.
