MICHAEL TIDSER has been named Scottish League One Glen's Manager of the Month for August thanks to Kelty’s unbeaten start to the league season.
The player/boss has guided his side to two wins and three draws, putting them top of the table on nine points.
Kelty have beaten Stenhousemuir and Arbroath and taken a point from each of the encounters with Montrose, Inverness and Dumbarton.
“I’m pleased,” Tidser said. “I genuinely mean this.
“It’s alright for me getting it but it’s a reflection of the coaching team as a whole – Geordie, Davie, Louisa, Jamie, Paddy, Calum - it’s a real effort.
"We’ve started the season well and the players need to perform well.
“This award is a reflection on that too. It’s good for the club and I’m delighted for Ross [Cunningham] to get Player of the Month as well.”
Kelty’s impressive start has been largely helped by Cunningham’s goalscoring form.
The midfielder found the back of the net three times in as many matches – against Montrose, Stenhousemuir and Arbroath.
Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, added: “It has been a great start to the season for Kelty, finishing the first month of fixtures unbeaten.
“Putting an impressive performance throughout August, both at home and away, has earned Michael Tidser the first Scottish League One Glen’s Manager of the Month award of the season.
“My congratulations go to Michael and everyone at New Central Park.”
