COWDENBEATH have signed Dundee’s young goalkeeping prospect, Ruaridh Lynch, on a season-long loan.
The 18-year-old is a Fifer and appeared as a trialist in a couple of the Blue Brazil's pre-season fixtures, and showed up well against Whitburn last week.
On completion of the deal, Cowden boss Dougie Hill commented: “Ruaridh is a player that came to our attention in the run-up to the pre-season sessions.
“We watched video of him, had him in for training and then he featured for us pre-season.
"He has shown up well, is a good size and a great shot stopper.
“We’re pleased to get the opportunity to play a part in his development.
"Ruairidh and Josh Blair will push each other for the number one spot."
Ruaridh was delighted to get matters finalised and told the Times: “I am really excited to join the club and looking forward to getting started."
Cowdenbeath FC’s football operations director, Colin Nelson, added: ‘I am very happy to report we have secured Ruaridh on a season long loan from Dundee.
“He is someone we identified very early and he has first-class attributes.
"We now have two excellent goalkeepers at the club. My grateful thanks to Scott Robertson and Alan Combe, at Dundee, for making the move happen."
