WITH the Ladbrokes League 2 campaign poised to get underway today (Saturday), Cowden boss Gary Bollan has moved to augment his backroom staff with the appointment of Craig Easton as the club’s new Assistant Manager.
Craig of course, as a player, made over 400 senior appearances after starting out with Dundee United where he earned 22 caps for Scotland at under-21 level.
A midfielder, Craig went on to represent Livingston, Leyton Orient, Swindon Town, Southend United, Dunfermline and Torquay in a 17-year playing career.
Craig then moved into coaching and was appointed head coach of the Raith Rovers development team. He then guided Raith Rovers U20s to consecutive SPFL Development League East titles in 2016/17 and 2017/18. Last season, Craig was reserve team manager at Dundee United.
Mr Bollan said: "Craig helped out at the end of last season and has been very much involved in the pre-season work and has impressed me.
"I am are very pleased to now welcome Craig to Central Park as my assistant and look forward to working with him in the season ahead".
