COWDENBEATH completed their preparations for the Betfred Cup start on Saturday with this friendly at Stark's Park last night.
It was a very even match but the League 1 side just got the verdict although the Blue Brazil had chances.
The Blues had skipper Kyle Miller back in action for this one and made a great start to the game.
In only three minutes the Rovers defence got in a right pickle and David COX was waiting handy to slot the ball past Rovers 'keeper Munro.
Soon after Jordan Allan burst clear and drew Rovers defender Davidson but his pass could not find Cox and the danger was cleared.
In 16 minutes Raith level when they forced a corner and from it Lewis ALLAN tried a cheeky flick which found its way into the net.
Cowdenbeath come right back into it and on the half hour Jordan Allan saw his well placed shot blocked by Davidson, but five minutes from he break Grant ANDERSON put Rovers ahead from close in.
At the break Cowden brought on Kris Renton, Jamie Pyper and Archie Thomas for Allan, Michael Herd and Euan Valentine and nine minutes into the second period Cox's effort his headed wide for a corner by a Rovers defender.
Then Trialist's cross is met by Robbie Buchanan and his effort his saved by Munro.
Jordyn Sheerin replaced Cox and Kyle Sneddon replaced Craig Barr and Rovers twice sent close but there is a clash of heads between Sheerin and Rovers' Mendy and Ryan Connolly replacds him and Rovers went close through a Trialist but Dabrowski saved.
Cowden kept looking for the equaliser but it just would not come.
