PICTURED are members of Lochgelly Bowling Club who won the West Fife Top Ten competition.

The venue for the final was Crossgates BC and the opponents were Dalgety Bay.

The teams drew 4-4 with Lochgelly coming out on top by shots differential.

The North Street line-up comprised, single-hand Jim McGuire; pairs Roy Fox and Gordon Scott; triples Len Kerr, Alan Bowers and Alan Scott; fours Wullie Glasgow, Tam Muir, Ian Simpson and Alex Glasgow.

In the earlier rounds Jim Gilruth was also a team member.

Meanwhile the gents championship took place at Lochgelly between Jim Gilruth and Roy Fox.

In the early stages of the game there was very little between the players and after eight ends the scores were tued at 5-5.

Both men were drawing the jack with brilliant precision and the spectators believed they were in for a very closie finish.

The deciding point of the final came with Jim leading 10-8. Roy was holding shot but a running bowl not only took away his advantage it gave Jim three shots, the first time any bowler had scored more than two.

The score was now 13-8 and it seemed to deflate Roy to the extent that it now appeared there was only going to be one winner and Jim eventually wrapped things up 21-11.
