BALLINGRY Rovers have completed the signings of several former seniors as they bid to ensure they are in the top four in the East Premier League and make the new Super League.
Kevin Byers, Jonathan Smart, Chris Hegarty and Graham Gibson have all been recruited from Forfar and Montrose.
They have also completed the signings of Bobby Linn, Craig Winter, Dougie Cameron and Stevie Nicholas from the senior ranks while goalkeepers Kyle Allison and Calum Shaw have arrived from Linlithgow Rose and East Fife (loan).
In addition there they have recruited Alan Rattray from St Andrews United and Craig O'Reilly from Penicuik.
Manager Dave Baikie (pictured) explained that his aim was to take Rovers into the top division and the signings are part of the strategy.
He said, "Rovers have, over the past couple of seasons, become a solid Premier League side but now we have to look to the next stage.
"The players such as Bobby Linn, Chris Hegarty, Craig Winter and Graham Gibson will help us achieve just that and to maintain a strong campaign we need to have a squad which will be able to stand the rigours of playing a lot of games." He added, "A good Scottish Cup run would be nice to have but the league is the priority and it would be good to be able to win the title but promotion is our key aim."
