CHRISTMAS arrived in Cowdenbeath as the festive lights were officially switched on.
The town was illuminated and seasonal entertainment took place during the day with shows, refreshments, Real Reindeer Scotland as well as an appearance from an inflatable Santa.
Crowds were entertained with performances from It Takes takes Two, Soul Accord, Love 2 Dance and Beath High school.
Cowdenbeath Civic Week chairman, Steven Haddow, said the event had been a success.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the committee for the hard work, meeting and planning that goes into these events, Stirling family funfairs who provided small kids ride and side show, Dela's snack van, donut van, Real Reindeer Scotland, Bedlam Promotions for the Inflatable Santa and few traders for attending our event," he said.
"Emma at Williamson Haulage for providing the lorry and sleigh for Santa and helpers, the family members ( the young team) for helping out on our stalls. David at Appollo Events providing the main stage for the performers.
"Also a thank you to Cowdenbeath Community Council for the amazing lights, Dan at MAR Scaffolding who provided the scaffolding free of charge for the light installation at Green Square.
"Last but not least a massive thank you to the public for supporting all our events. It was a great success and the kids looked like they all had an amazing time."
