A WATER main has burst behind a supermarket in Cowdenbeath, with the outpour covering the affected area.
Scottish Water are on site to repair the damage, reported behind Lidl on High Street in the town.
No change to the water supply is affected for domestic customers, but temporary impacts may occur.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: “We have located a burst water main in a field behind Cowdenbeath High Street, and our team is on-site preparing to carry out the necessary repairs.

“The burst is not affecting water supply for domestic customers in the area.
“We are, however, in direct contact with any commercial properties that may experience temporary impacts as a result.”
The fault was detected on a patch of green space behind the supermarket, with Scottish Water confirming that no traffic management will be necessary as they carry out repairs.
The spokesperson continued: “We expect to complete the repairs later today, although an exact timeframe is not yet confirmed.
“Importantly, there will be no disruption to Cowdenbeath High Street as we carry out this work.”
Lidl has been approached for comment.
