A Bowhill man stole a motorbike from a neighbour and smashed a window at his home.
Derek Ross, 47, of Kirkburn Drive, believed the man owed money, Dunfermline Sheriff Court heard.
Ross admitted that on September 16 last year, at Kirkburn Drive, he stole a motorcycle.
He also smashed a window by throwing a brick through a rear window of the man’s home.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said the background was a dispute about money that was owed to his client’s wife
Sheriff Susan Duff ordered Ross to pay £200 compensation to the council for the smashed window. Full sentencing was deferred for good behaviour until April 30.
She commented: “This was a rather stupid and short-sighted thing to do.”
