A 68-year-old Cardenden man committed an assault on a stranger on a train.
The culprit was Robert Davidson, of Cardenden Road.
Davidson was not present at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for his hearing but a guilty plea was submitted by his solicitor.
He admitted that on May 24 on a train between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly he assaulted a male, who was unknown to him, seized and pushed him on the body, seized and pushed him on the head, restrained him and engaged in a struggle with him.
Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said: “It seems this was unprovoked and they didn’t know each other.”
Sheriff Derek Reekie called for reports and Davidson will be sentenced on November 27.
