A local MSP praised the “excellent team of dedicated staff” at a Scottish Autism centre in Central Fife.
MSP for the Cowdenbeath constituency Annabelle Ewing MSP visited the Scottish Autism Woodend Resource Base in Cowdenbeath.
She said: “Many thanks to Mark McDonald of Scottish Autism for organising the meeting and to Tracy Christie, Services Manager, for taking the time to talk to me about the work that Scottish Autism does here at the Woodend Resource Base.
“Scottish Autism have an excellent team of dedicated staff who can provide a one-to-one day-care support service to a number of individuals, four days a week.
The facility caters to people aged around 30-50-years-old with varied and complex needs but plans for expansion would allow it to take on some new service users.
Ms Ewing continued: “The facilities here at Woodend are very good indeed with individual rooms for each service user and communal space also available. There is also a good-sized garden space available for outdoor activities.
“I was really impressed by the great work that is being undertaken at Woodend.”
