Elderly Cowdenbeath residents can celebrate Christmas early this year by attending a special dance night at Broad Street Bowling Club .
Organised by the Cowdenbeath Community Council, the event follows the success of last year’s Christmas dance.
It will take place on Thursday, December 12.
Secretary of the Community Council Christine Gourlay said: “This time of year can be a challenging period particularly for the elderly. We are holding the Christmas party because we just wanted to spread a little bit of festive cheer and bring some joy and laughter to them.”
The festive celebration is open to residents who are aged 65 and over and live in the Community Council area.
Attendees will be provided with a two-course meal, and live entertainment from “The Vinyl Countdown.” Transportation will be provided for the evening.
Those wishing to attend can pick up free tickets from Lucie Sue Coffee Bar and Gift Boutique from Friday November 1. Organisers urge those interested to do this early due to limited capacity.
