LOCHGELLY GALA Committee is keen on the people of the town letting them know what they want to see in the big community day of 2025.
The Gala AGM takes place on Monday, 18 November and they want to hear from the public before this, or on the night.
Gala secretary, Kelly Mackay, would be delighted to hear from anyone who wants to make an input.
After the gala day in August, the committee received some observations on the event and one of these was on the managing of queues.
Kelly said this week: “We received feedback about the queues at the event on August 18 and we understand that waiting in line can be frustrating, especially with large crowds. To manage this, we sell a limited number of wristbands to help control the flow and reduce waiting times.
“However, it’s important to acknowledge that queues are inevitable when a large number of people gather in one place. We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding on this matter”.
On feedback and volunteer support, Kelly said that the committee was always keen to hear what people think: “As a committee, we always take feedback seriously—whether it’s positive or negative.

“We strive to improve the gala each year, and public input plays a crucial role in that process.
“We are always open to more hands-on deck. If people have suggestions, or simply want to help out, we warmly welcome you to join us. Organising an event like the Lochgelly Gala requires a lot of effort, and the more support we have, the better the experience we can provide for everyone.
The AGM will take place at 6pm on Monday, 18 November, at Torley's Bar, in High Street, and people are urged to go along and make their views known.
If you have some information or ideas which could help the gala committee in their bid to improve things go along to the AGM, or email Kelly on kellymackay007@gmail.com .
