Sections of the A92 are being closed while road safety improvements are made this week.
Work started on Sunday, October 27 on the A92 between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly, and are set to last until February 17, 2025
The essential maintenance will deliver new vehicle safety barriers and upgraded signage on the eastbound and westbound verges of the A92.
Work will also take place on both carriageways from before the A92 westbound off slip to Cowdenbeath to after the A92 westbound on slip from Lochgelly.
The £400,000 project, which the company Amey is delivering on behalf of Transport Scotland, will impact more than 51,000 vehicles who use this route daily.
Work will take place from Sunday to Thursday each week between 7.30pm and 6.30am
The work will be undertaken using single lane closures on both A92 carriageways. There will also be the need for occasional convoy working when needed.
There will be no traffic management in place on Friday and Saturday nights.
A 50mph speed limit will be in place for the duration of the works due to a temporary barrier being in place.
Traffic management will be lifted each morning at 6.30am before being put back in place each night at 7.30pm.
