THIS year's Remembrance Day event in Cardenden will take place mid-morning on Sunday, November 10.
The parade, led by a piper, will leave the Railway Tavern, in Cardenden Road, at 10.40am, on its way to the War Memorial in Woodend Road, where the service will be conducted by the local minister and priest.
After the wreaths are laid at the Memorial the parade will return to the Railway Tavern where free soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee will be available.
Chair of the organising committee Alex Burns said: “Any local organisations who wish to lay wreaths are asked to forward their names to the Bowhill Centre on 01592 583471.
“Those who wish to purchase a wreath must forward the cost of it to the Bowhill Centre before it is ordered.”
