THANKS to the continued support from the communities of the ABCD villages, the Cardenden Community Bonfire and Fireworks Display will go ahead on Friday, November 8.

The people of Auchterderran, Bowhill, Cardenden and Dundonald have backed the event over almost four decades and that backing is still very strong.

Chair of the Community Bonfire Committee, Alex Burns, said: “We would like to offer our sincere thanks to various groups for their continued financial support which is greatly appreciated.

“We would also welcome the donation of wooden pallets for the bonfire from local companies, if possible, and it would be excellent if these could be delivered to Wallsgreen Park on the morning of the event when the building of the bonfire will begin”

Alex has also asked for volunteers to come forward to help on the day. Anyone who wants information about the pallet donation or to volunteer should contact Bowhill Centre on 01592 583471.
