A 40-year-old woman threatened to set her dog on police officers and shouted commands for it to attack them.
The dog, a pitbull and XL Bully cross, then lunged at a sergeant.
As a result, Kirsty Adsley, of Ballingry Road, Ballingry, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on July 14 at New Flockhouse, Lochore, she behaved in an aggressive manner, shouted and swore towards three police officers.
She threatened to set her dog on them, repeatedly shook her dog’s collar causing it to become aggressive, repeatedly shouted commands to her dog to attack the officers and made threats of violence.
She also admitted that she was the owner of a pitbull and XL Bully cross which was dangerously out of control.
The dog whilst untethered barked at a police sergeant, lunged towards him and repeatedly scratched him on the body to his injury.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said a dog warden had been unable to carry out an assessment of the dog because it was acting so aggressively.
Sheriff Allan Findlay deferred sentencing until October 23 for further information about the dog.
