LOCHGELLY Gala Day Committee have been considering many of the observations made by the public after the August 2024 event, in a bid to improve next year’s big community day.
And with the gala committee’s annual general meeting taking place next month they want to hear from the people of the town on what they want to see different in August 2025.
One of the issues mentioned after the gala day was the price of gala bags, their value for money, and sugar content.
It was recognised by the committee that the bags were different, compared to previous years, but it was believed these offered good value for money.

The committee stressed then that they always aim to keep costs down, and even offered primary school and nursery kids a free gala bag ticket, but the members want more information on this and other matters.
The AGM will take place at 6pm on Monday November 18, at Torley's Bar, in High Street, and people are urged to go along and make their views known.
Committee secretary, Kelly Mackay, commented: “There were a number of very interesting observations made after our August 2024 gala day and we want to hear more of these as it is important to have this sort of information to try and make the gala day event better.”
If you have some information or ideas which could help the gala committee in their bid to improve things go along to the agm, or email Kelly on kellymackay007@gmail.com
