More than 200 people walked through Lochore Meadows to raise money for Parkinson's in Fife.

The Walk for Parkinson's fundraiser took place on October 6, with 224 participants braving the damp start to the day.

The weather had cleared up by the time the walkers made it over the finish line.

Many of the walkers are living with Parkinson's, but others were relatives, friends, carers, and health professionals.

Fifteen events are taking place this year across the UK to raise funds to support research into better treatments for Parkinson's.

Parkinson's UK established an event village in the park, where people could find out more about the work of the charity, support groups in Fife, and the Dundee Research Interest Group.

Julie Ionta, community fundraiser for Parkinson's UK, said: “It’s been a brilliant event here at Lochore Meadows.

"We’re grateful to everyone who took part and all the volunteers who supported the smooth running of the event.

"Each and every one of them has played a vital part in raising funds to back research into better treatments and hopefully, one day, a cure for Parkinson’s."
