COWDENBEATH Rotary Club members hope to involved in the official Christmas lights switch-on in Kelty this year.
The switch-on takes place on Saturday, November 30, and the club plan to have some tables at the event at Kelty Community Centre with the view of holding a mini-Christmas Fayre activity.
Club president, Hank John, told Thursday’s meeting that the club was looking to be involved in several fundraising activities over the next few months.
“We have a couple of projects we are involved in which will need financial backing, so we have to look to boost our coffers and a Christmas activity would be an ideal opportunity,” he said.
“The lights switch-on in Kelty is always a busy day in the village, and it would be good to be part of it and hopefully we will be able to have a few tables at the community centre that day to sell some festive items.”
The rotarians are also investigating the prospect of holding a small carol concert on the run-up to Christmas.
