A Hill of Beath woman, who struck an 11-year-old boy on the backside, has appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
In the dock for the smacking was 38-year-old Penny Hutchings, of Wintons Place.
She admitted that on January 2 last year, at Viewfield Terrace, Lochgelly, she assaulted an 11-year-old boy by repeatedly striking him on the body.
Depute fiscal Lauren Pennycook said the boy had been physically struggling with his mum and was on the ground when Hutchings intervened.
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison said his client had “struck the boy twice on the clothed buttocks”.
He added: “This matter has weighed heavily on her.”
Sheriff Susan Duff told Hutchings: “I can see this has had a huge impact on you” and admonished her.
