POLICE have launched an investigation following reports of youths causing a disturbance in Cowdenbeath last weekend.
Reports on social media suggested that the group of young people were seen throwing stones at vehicles near the Fishtail in the town on Friday night.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “We received reports of youths causing a disturbance and throwing stones in the High Street area of Cowdenbeath on the evening of Friday, 20 September.
"Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with concerns is encouraged to contact Police Scotland via 101.”
