BOWHILL Highland Games had unusual visitors in the shape of the Vikings from the Shetlands, but the undoubted stars were the competitors who produced some fantastic performances.
The athletes and cyclists fought out some amazing races with a series of thrilling finishes, while those who took part in the heavy events, like tossing the caber, didn't disappoint the 3,000-plus crowd.
Games committee chairman Don Campbell observed: “It was a great day and arguably our best games since things re-started in 2021.”
