A WOMAN was subjected to controlling and abusive behaviour by her partner, including being grabbed, pulled and having alcohol poured over her head.
Alexander Milne, 43, of Sauchie Street, Auchterderran, has appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that between 1st and 2nd June at Halbeath park and ride, the Village Inn, Main Road, Cardenden and elsewhere, he engaged in abusive conduct towards his partner.
Milne repeatedly contacted her by phone and text messages and repeatedly accused her of infidelity.
He repeatedly shouted, swore, acted aggressively and made abusive remarks towards her.
He demanded money from her, repeatedly demanded her to leave and poured an alcoholic drink over her head.
Milne seized her by the body and pulled her back into a property when she attempted to leave, seized her mobile phone from her hands and repeatedly struck it against the ground causing it to break.
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane read a letter from the victim and then told Milne: “It never ceases to amaze me how forgiving women are. She’s excusing you for some astounding reason.”
She imposed a structured deferred sentence which runs until 27th November and told him, “All options remain open”.
