A Cardenden man has been banned from driving for refusing to take a breath test when suspected of being over the limit.
Officers had smelled alcohol from 41-year-old Kudakwashe Chatambarara, of Garden Mill Brae and he has now appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 20th August at Dunfermline police station, he failed to provide breath samples as required.
The court was told police received information about a suspected drink-driver at 8.25am and tracked down the vehicle to Chatambarara’s home.
He refused to do a breath test saying, “no comment” and was arrested.
Chatambarara works for a housing association, is also a support worker and a taxi driver until now, the court heard.
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane banned Chatambarara from driving for a year and fined him £420.
