A 15-year-old girl was punched in the face by a woman in Bowhill over allegations about another young girl having her drink spiked.
Leah Taylor, 23, of Jamphlars Road, Dundonald, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on 13th October last year, at Cardenden railway viaduct, Bowhill, she assaulted a girl, then aged 15, by punching her on the face.
The court was told Taylor confronted the girl saying: “Have you been giving her stuff?” and then punched her on the face.
Defence solicitor Lee Qmsieh said his client had been told a young family relative had a tablet put in her drink that night.
When Taylor went to the scene, her young relative, a 13-year-old girl, was “falling over and foaming at the mouth”.
The solicitor said his client “acted in the heat of the moment and was in a state of panic”.
Sheriff Krista Johnston fined Taylor £240.
