A 14-year-old girl was punched and suffered a cut lip during an altercation in Lochgelly.
She was assaulted by 25-year-old Nathan McPhee, of Melville Street, Lochgelly, who has appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 20th May at his home, he assaulted the girl by punching her on the head to her injury.
He also admitted he breached a home curfew that day when he was not within his home during the specified period.
Defence solicitor David McLaughlin said: “He doesn’t know the complainer. Someone brought her there. He was intoxicated and there was a physical altercation with his brother.
“It was a rather chaotic scene and he’s surprised he’s struck this girl. He was fighting with his brother and she may have got in the way but he can’t remember.”
Sheriff Krista Johnston imposed a community payback order with 12 months of supervision and a £200 compensation order.
