COWDENBEATH Rotary Club is set to embark on a plan to expand its membership numbers.
In the early part of the 21st century the club could boast 26 members, but that has changed over the past decade - as the rotary movement UK wide, and other organisations, have found.
At Thursday’s meeting club president Hank John pointed out that there were 14 members during their centenary year, but three had left over the summer months for varying reasons.
He said: “We have a few people interested in joining and it would be good to get our number up to 14 or 15 in the next month or two.
"That would give us the number of people needed to allow us to tackle the sort of projects we want to.
“I know that a number of local organisations have had issues with falling numbers, for varying reasons, but it is up to us to get people aboard to help promote the projects we have in the pipeline.”
The club’s current members will be working hard at increasing the numbers over the coming months.
