LOCHGELLY High School's Junior Pipe Band are world champions.
They were crowned at a huge event at Glasgow Green on Saturday, the World Pipe Band Championships.
And they took home the title of Novice Juvenile Band World Champions.
Headteacher Ross Stewart said: "Lochgelly High School's Junior Pipe Band has had a fantastic season, rounding it off in the best way possible as world champions.
"I'd like to offer my congratulations to the young people involved in both the junior and senior bands, to Pipe Major Mr Canning and Mr Brown.
"We are beyond proud of them and their achievements.
"There is a lot of work that goes into supporting the bands and a big thank you must also go to the parent volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes in supporting our young people.
"Most importantly, we need to recognise the talent and commitment of the young people themselves, many of whom have been developing their skills since primary school.
"It's wonderful to see them progress through the junior and senior bands during their time in school.
"Achieving such success along the way is only possible due to their wholehearted commitment and dedication, for which they deserve great credit.
"The entire school community is exceptionally proud of their new world champions."
