AN SFA Ladies Football Trailblazers exhibition and a dog training display will be some of the activities on offer at this weekend's Cardenden Village Fair.
An array of craft stalls, local causes, charity fundraising stalls and attractions will be at the event in Wallsgreen Park on Sunday.
The theme of the fair this year is ‘Volunteering,’ and Fife Voluntary Action's volunteering development officer, Pam Bennett, will also be in attendance offering advice on opportunities in the area.
OnFife's Carolyn Johnston will be extending the SFA Ladies Football Trailblazers exhibition to the event after successful runs at Kirkcaldy Galleries and Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries.
She said Hampden Museum's touring exhibition tells the history of Scottish Women's football, in the interwar years, between 1918 and 1939.
"It specifically focuses on Rutherglen FC who were the unofficial Scotland national team and one of their leading centre forwards was a local lass, May Watson," explained Carolyn.

"She was captain of Bowhill Ladies at the age of 15 years and was scouted by the manager of Rutherglen, to join his team and she toured Scotland, England and Ireland, before hanging up her boots to get married.
"May's descendants still live in Cardenden, including her grand-daughters, great and great, great, grandchildren, who are keen to share her story and have her celebrated after 100 years.”
Oliver’s Amy Assistance Dogs will also be joining the fair and will host and present The Bronze Kennel Award which is open to the public and participants can register their interest online.
John Gilfillan will be hosting the very popular children’s races, and the entertainment area will feature Bowhill Karate Club, Kirkcaldy & District Pipe Band and Danielle Law School of Dance & Music – Highland Dancers.
Deansie’s Designs will be brightening up the event with face painting, glitter tattoos and glitter festival hair while John's Airbrush Tattoos will also be in attendance.
Melville Equestrian Pony Rides are on offer while Alba Falconry are bringing along their majestic birds of prey.
The fair will be on from 11.30am until 4pm.
