A learner driver went up on pavements in Cowdenbeath near pedestrians, circled a police car and was performing ‘doughnuts’.
The culprit, 20-year-old Jordan Watson, previously of Kelty, now living at Winding Wheel Way, Cardenden, has appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 21st February 2022 in the car park at Cowdenbeath FC, High Street and Leuchatsbeath Drive, Cowdenbeath, he drove a car dangerously.
In the car park he drove at excessive speed, repeatedly accelerated and braked harshly, repeatedly drove on to a footpath and drove in circles around a marked police vehicle.
At Leuchatsbeath Drive, he performed ‘doughnut’ manoeuvres on a grass area and drove on to a footpath in close proximity to pedestrians.
He also drove without insurance and as the holder of only a provisional licence he drove unaccompanied and without displaying ‘L’ plates.
Sheriff Krista Johnston called for reports, imposed a temporary driving ban and Watson will be sentenced on 12th August.
