A COWDENBEATH business has announced that it will be closing its doors.
The news was announced on Love Cowdenbeath’s Facebook page that The Card Shop on Station Road has decided to close.
The post stated: “Sadly Lynn has decided to close the doors in the card shop. No date as yet but she is offering 30 per cent off on her stock.

“Lynn has commented: I bought this wee shop six years ago, it's been great getting to know you all. Unfortunately times are hard trying to keep prices down to compete with the bigger shops. To many shops sell cards now.
"Being a independent trader if practical impossible to make ends meet. To all yous who has been loyal to my shop I will dearly miss yous. Please keep coming as I've got loads to try sell. Xmas cards will be out soon... Thank you everyone.”
The Times has reached out to The Card Shop for comment.
