A NEW barbers is set to open in Ballingry as it expands from its first Fife home.
Keireen Reilly, who runs CuTz by Kt on Links Street in Kirkcaldy, will be opening a second location in an empty unit on Benarty Square offering walk-in appointments.
He told the Times: "We have a shop already in Kirkcaldy, that’s been open maybe five or six months, so when that shop on Benarty Square became available, I was like, 'This is perfect', there’s not really any barbers there either so it’s ideal for Ballingry.
"It’s where the carpet shop used to be, it’s two shops all combined into one. Pretty much right next door to Baynes."
Work is currently underway to get the shop customer-ready, with plasterboard going up and decorating in full swing.
Keireen continued: "It shouldn’t take too long now, I’m hoping that not this weekend coming, but the following weekend, we should be open."
There are also plans to introduce sensory cuts where those who struggle going for a haircut can go along to a quieter environment, with special equipment.
This is something that Keireen has implemented in his Kirkcaldy barbers, offering a day once a month where children and adults with different sensory needs can book in, and he will be doing the same here.
He added a sensory room is also going to be fitted.
An exact opening date is yet to be announced, but you can keep up to date on the new store by following CuTz by Kt on Facebook.
