PLANS have been submitted to Fife Council to turn land near Crossgates into the perfect camp for kids.
Mrs Kelly Jackson of Camp Achievers has applied for permission to place two portacabins on the two to three acres of land that they have rented east of the Woodlea poultry farm, south of the village and just off the B981.
The proposed cabins will act as shelters and classrooms for the children so that they can play and learn inside when the weather is bad.
If approved, there will be a main office cabin where the staff washroom and the required first aid facilities will be housed.
There will be no change to the internal layout of the cabins.
A toilet block will also be placed on the land, it will be the same size as the other cabins and will house enough toilets to facilitate all of the children at the camp.
The camp will run from Monday to Saturday, from 6am to 6pm, and it's planned to take in anywhere from 50 to 70 kids.
