IN yesterday's edition of the Central Fife Times (Wednesday May 29) the front page article was titled 'Callous drink driver left man to die in street'.
This refers to a case in the High Court in Edinburgh in which Darren McPhee admitted causing the death of Stephen Davis in Cowdenbeath last September by driving dangerously and at excessive speed.
The headline printed in the newspaper was incorrect.
We have been asked to point out that Mr McPhee was not drunk at the time and there was no mention in the court case of him being over the legal drink-drive limit.
We apologise for this error.
