ALWAYS a popular attraction, the West Fife Show returns this Saturday for another day of fun-filled activities and shows.

The historic event dates back 250 years, making it one of Scotland’s oldest agricultural shows.

The annual event takes place at Easter Bucklyvie near Crossgates and there will be a range of events for everybody to enjoy.

These include the traditional cattle, sheep, goats, Clydesdales and Light Horse competitions, as well as the dog show. You can even bring your own dog along to take part.

Laura Inglis, show secretary, commented: "West Fife Show is sure to be a great day out for the whole family this year. There will be a show of some of the best livestock and horses from the local area.

"We also have a falconry display, tractor football, a baby animal tent, a food and craft tent as well as some wonderful trade stands. There will be a vintage tractor display, pipe band, sheep shearing demonstration and much more."

For those more interested in mechanical beasts, the West Fife Agricultural Show will have various tractors and equipment on display.

There will also be a craft marquee where local vendors and businesses will be showing off their products.

Children can pet baby animals and youngsters will get the chance to spend some time with the animals, as well as do some hands-on activities, before heading off for a drive in the kids’ tractor area.
