LOCHGELLY High School is revving up to host a race event as part of the Scottish Electric Chariot's Championship.
The day will take place at the adjacent Fife Cycle Park and see primary and secondary schools from across Fife, Edinburgh and the Borders come together on Wednesday June 5 to test out their Goblin and F24 race cars.
Lochgelly High design and technology teacher Ewan McDougall said: "This will be an opportunity for young people to showcase their technology, teamwork and problem-solving skills that they have been developing through the construction of their race cars this year."
After timed races and competitions, awards will be handed out by the Jim Clark Trust.
He added: "A great deal of time and effort has been put into the organisation of this event and our young people are really looking forward to having the opportunity to test out their built go-carts."
