IT'S just four weeks until we celebrate the Dunfermline Press / Central Fife Times Community Champion Awards.

And we're delighted to announce the host of the awards ceremony at the Glen Pavilion in Dunfermline on Thursday, June 13, will once again be radio presenter Bryan Burnett.

The BBC Radio Scotland personality is delighted to be returning to host the event again, following the success of our 2023 awards.

The aim of the awards is to reward and celebrate the people who make our communities a better place, and we can't wait to share the nominees' stories on the night.

Bryan has previously explained the reason he loves being involved in such events, and the pleasure he gets from being able to stand on stage and share good news.

"You get to hear the stories of people who have done brilliant things and people win something," he said.

"They are always great fun to present, we are used to seeing people get on stage and have to deliver tough news, so it's brilliant to have a night of good news stories."

Central Fife Times:

He continued: "It's really lovely to see what it means to them, we can read about it before hand and hear other people talk about them, but it's only when you talk to the nominees and the winners that you realise just what it means to be recognised."

Earlier this month, we revealed the finalists for this year's awards, and on Thursday, June 13, we'll be celebrating our unsung heroes from sport, business, charity, music, schools and everyday life, giving them their moment in the limelight and richly deserved plaudits for their achievements.

Central Fife Times:

We'll reveal more about our finalists over the next couple of weeks in the lead up to the ceremony.

Supporting this year's awards are sponsors Arnold Clark, Fife Council, Stagecoach and TechnipFMC.

Tickets are now available to attend the awards evening, which includes a sparkling drinks reception, three-course meal and entertainment from local talent, as well as the awards presentations.
