A planning application for upgrades at Lochgelly South Primary School has been submitted by Fife Council.
The proposal is for the installation of a new modular nursery building, a multi-use games area, as well as the formation of a car park and new fencing.
Before these works can begin, extensive ground remedial works have to take place.

As previously reported in the Times, residents were notified of 12 months of works at the school. It is now currently shut, and pupils and teachers have moved to St Kenneth’s RC Primary in Ballingry for the current academic year.
The planning application is now in the consultation phase where the council can inform others of the plans and seek feedback.
