A 34-year-old man attacked his former partner and her boyfriend after finding them in bed in Bowhill.
The assailant, John Hutchison, of Flutorum Avenue, Thornton, has appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on January 20 at an address in Bowhill he assaulted a man by repeatedly punching him on the head and kicking him on the body, all to his injury.
He also admitted that he assaulted his former partner by pushing her.
Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said Hutchison had let himself into the home of his former partner and went into her bedroom.

The woman attempted to stop Hutchison from attacking her new partner, who was still in bed but he pushed her out of the way.
The man then got out of the bed and Hutchison lunged towards him, hitting him on the face.
The woman told Hutchison to leave but he ignored this and kicked the other man in the face.
“She was horrified at what she was seeing,” added the depute.
The victim sustained a swollen and bloody nose.
The court was told that Hutchison, unemployed, had been drinking excessively before the incident.
Sheriff Garry Sutherland imposed a community payback order with 140 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of supervision.
He also imposed a three-year non-harassment order.
