A MAN has appeared in court after reportedly being confronted by an online paedophile hunter group while carrying out a football coaching session in Cardenden.
James Devine, 41, appeared in private at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Tuesday on two charges under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act.
He made no plea or declaration and the case was committed for further examination.
Devine, whose address was given as Glasgow, was released on bail. A date of a future court appearance has yet to be confirmed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with indecent communications after officers were called to an address in the Cardenden area of Fife on the evening of Monday, 15 April 2024."
Police confirmed a report had been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
