A Crosshill dance school is preparing to head to the British Championships this weekend.
The Company School of Dance, co-owned by Ashleigh Yule and Liam Mckay, will be heading to Blackpool Winter Gardens with 50 of their dancers this weekend (Friday, April 19 to Sunday, April 21) to take part in the competition.
As well as competing in competitions, the dance school also offers classes for all ages and abilities. Classes on offer include street dance, commercial, lyrical, ballet, show work, acro, boys only classes and heels. Their dancers hold Scottish, British, and World champion titles.

Speaking about how the dancers are feeling ahead of the competition, Ashleigh said: “Yeah everyone is excited about it. We went last year as well, and we won some British titles.”
The dancers are now going to try and hold onto their titles for this year too, and the dancers are a range of ages.
“Our youngest competitor is four years old. Our oldest maybe 24 or 25. We have taught some of the young adults since they were like three years old.” Ashleigh added.
The dance school has entered in a range of dance styles including street dance, lyrical, commercial, team sets, solos, and duos.
“We want to wish all our dancers the best of luck," said Ashleigh. "They have all worked so hard, we are really proud of them.”
