A CYCLING event that was set to take place this weekend at the Benarty Skate Park has been postponed.
Set to take place this Saturday, April 13, it has now been pushed back to next month.
The event was planned to have a number of activities on throughout the day as well as a performance from Scotland's cycle stunt team, The Clan.
Formed in 2008, the team have put on more than 1000 shows across the country and further afield, and are recognised as among the best in their field.
The event would have also featured Dr Bike, emergency services vehicles and stalls, skate park demos and cycle safety sessions with an outdoor education officer, raffles and giveaways, a mock-up accident scene with first aid training, and a bike ride with Cycle Scotland.
It has now been rescheduled for Saturday, May 25. Registration is required to participate. Registration forms are available at Benarty Centre. This event is free, but there is a £5 cost if you require a safety pack, which includes a helmet for you to keep.
