A PLANNING application for four dog exercise fields between Kingseat and Cowdenbeath has been withdrawn.
It was for a change of use to allow farmland off the Cuddyhouse Road to be used by owners and their pets.
The dog parks have been open at Meiklesbeath Farm for around two years but they do not have the required consent from Fife Council as the applicant "did not realise" planning permission was needed.

The application could have tidied that up but the local authority confirmed it had been withdrawn.
The land is owned by a Mrs Doreen Win, from Lancashire, who has rented out the holding.
The retrospective application also included proposals for boundary enclosures and gates, formation of a new vehicle access, car parking for eight vehicles and road safety improvements.
Consultants said a visibility splay of 180 metres in each direction would be required as a speed survey found that most vehicles travelling on the road were clocked above 50mph.
