FIFE Council must continue to "push" a housing developer to instal a long overdue road safety measure in Ballingry.
The Cowdenbeath area committee heard last week that local residents are still waiting on Springfield Properties putting a pedestrian crossing on Lochleven Road, agreed in 2018 as part of a deal for 140 new homes.
A public question was submitted by Tom Kinnaird, from Benarty, which read: "The raised hump pedestrian crossing point to the north of the development at the Shank of Navitie has still not been installed.
"Is that scheduled?
"The hump part was laid, deemed too high and removed previously, and works were then abandoned."

Plans for 140 affordable homes on land to the east of the B920 Lochleven Road, at Kirkland Farm, were approved in May 2018 and work started two months later.
One of the planning conditions stated that a controlled pedestrian crossing should be installed on the B920 "prior to the occupation of the 20th dwelling".
Lesley Craig, lead consultant in traffic management, told the committee: "This crossing point is part of the development that was being done by Springfield Properties so it's the responsibility of the developer to complete the crossing installation.
"My colleagues in transportation have had yet another meeting on site with the developer, last week, and the developer has given assurances this will be completed.
"They have been asked to do this by the end of the financial year but that will up to them to get it done.
"It will be dependent on them applying for a permit to occupy the road and that this would be granted in line with all other works in the area."
She continued: "We now have to give them the time to complete the work and as soon as it is completed we will have this commissioned and have it working.
"We've been in discussions with legal services as to what can be done in the event it's not completed by the developer."
Committee convener, Councillor Alex Campbell, said: "I think it's imperative the council continues to push to get this done. It's gone on way too long."
