A skatepark in Cowdenbeath is experiencing several issues including drainage problems and anti-social behaviour.
The skatepark in Central Park is being blighted by anti-social behaviour and vandalism, and rainwater is unable to drain away as it should.
Councillor Darren Watt met council officers earlier this month discuss these issues.
He commented: “There was a condition survey report carried out in recent weeks to ascertain a lot of the concerns, the environmental conditions, ongoing issues with drainage, and the effects caused by anti-social behaviour.”
Part of the skatepark is in a bowl shape, which due to its size and the volume of rainwater, makes it difficult for the water to drain out.

Glass has been smashed in the park and there have been incidents of bullying, harassment, and dog walkers being verbally harassed.
Cllr Watt added: “The graffiti is one thing, that’s the way they want to tag their area and make it their own, then that’s the point and purpose of a skatepark.
“It’s the fact it goes beyond graffiti. Shopping trolleys are taken from nearby supermarkets and chucked down the bowl part of the skatepark.”
The bowl is not easy to get into to remove these items either, as people either have to slide down into it or use a ladder.
Several options will be considered as a potential solution, but Cllr Watt added that the investigation is in its “early stages”.
