A Cowdenbeath pet supplies shop is offering a free microchipping service for all XL bully dogs ahead of the ban on the breed coming into force.
Kushbullz Raw and Pet Supplies are running this service until the ban begins, which will make it illegal to sell, buy, breed, abandon, or give away these dogs. Anyone who does own one will need to have it microchipped.
Nicole Foster, owner of Kushbullz Raw and Pet Supplies, has had the shop for three months, and said the shop started this service because: “I had a few people messaging and a few family and friends asking, and my partner said it would be a good idea to offer it for free to help out.”

Once the new rules come into place, XL bullies will need to be kept on a lead in public and wear a muzzle.
As a result of the upcoming ban, Nicole said she has “had a lot of folk asking for muzzles, obviously, so we have ordered a load.
“They can come in and try them.”
Nicole hasn’t had a lot of experience with the breed but commented: “All the bullies that we have had are pretty good.
“They have been really friendly.”
If you are interested in the service, you can reach out to Kushbullz Raw and Pet Supplies to see if your dog has been chipped, or to find out what the microchip number is.
